Chery’s Jetour has launched the Zongheng G700 Taklimakan Rally Edition, a high-performance SUV designed for both on-road comfort and serious off-road capability. Unveiled at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, this limited-edition vehicle combines rally-tested hardware with a luxurious interior, priced between $47,030 and $49,700.
Rally-Grade Durability
The Zongheng G700 Rally Edition is built to withstand harsh conditions. The underbody is protected by a heavy-duty 5-mm aluminum-magnesium alloy skid plate. This component is 15% lighter and 30% stronger than traditional steel, capable of withstanding impacts up to 210 MPa, and boasts 500% improved corrosion resistance. Paired with adjustable nitrogen dampers and Black Bear all-terrain tires, this ensures the SUV can handle challenging terrain.
Powerful Hybrid Powertrain
The G700 is powered by a 2.0T hybrid engine producing 155 kW from the engine alone and a combined system output of 560 kW with 795 Nm of torque. This powertrain is designed to deliver both high performance on paved roads and resilience in off-road environments. The SUV’s dimensions (5,198 mm long, 2,050 mm wide, and 1,956 mm tall) position it among full-size luxury off-road vehicles.
High-Tech Interior
Inside, the G700 features a massive 35.4-inch integrated dashboard display and Huawei’s Qian Kun ADS 4 driver-assistance system, utilizing 27 sensors for comprehensive situational awareness. The seats provide multi-layer leather construction with ventilation, heating, eight-point massage functions, and adjustable leg support. A Lescon audio system with a 7.1.4-channel configuration is also included.
The Zongheng G700 Rally Edition represents a deliberate fusion of off-road durability and luxury features. This vehicle caters to drivers seeking an SUV that can handle both daily commutes and extreme adventures, setting a new benchmark in its segment.
